Re:Locate vs. Robert Nickson - Resource

Dutch producers Re:Locate and Robert Nickson present the first of hopefully many more collaborations to come. Kept exclusive for the Universal Religion Chapter 5 album, but now finally revealed, are ‘Resource’ & ‘Prevening’!

Two names that have kept the trance sound alive and kicking throughout the years, without questioning the endless options of experimenting in sound. Paul Moelands, veiling under Octagen and Re:Locate and responsible for classic ‘Rogue’, ‘Waterfall’ and remixes for Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and more. Robert Nickson, the producer behind highlights like ‘Godless’, ‘Superlative’, ‘We Won’t Forget’ and of course legendary classic ‘Spiral’, with his tracks soaking with mind-shivering melodies. Put these guys together and the outcome is no less than extraordinary.

‘Resource’ already won the hearts of the ‘Universal Religion Chapter 5′ listeners, kicking in with a punch of energy, heavy bass guitar, pounding beats and a rolling melody that catches on from the minute it hits in. ‘Prevening’ on the other hand builds on a reminiscent 90′s trance vibe, breaking into a medley of strings, deep drums and full-on sweeping synths right after the break. Two musical pieces of outstanding quality.

Excerpt from the review:

“Truth be told, I don’t think these two have done anything like this, and it’s a wonderful branch outwards, adding an exotic vibe, while maintaining the stomp that they are known to provide.”

“These two almost never disappoint, and this release is no exception. My choice is the original, as I must applaud the use of sitar; it really sent that vibe home.”
